Hey there my fellow adventurers! Have you ever felt the wind in your hair and the sun on your face as you drive down a beautiful coastal road? Well, buckle up because I'm about to take you on a journey! I recently went on a road trip from Adelaide to Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road and let me tell you, it was one for the books!
Our first stop along the way was the beautiful coastal town of Warrnambool. This charming town is where the ocean meets the land and it's an experience like no other. We set up camp at Discovery Parks, a stunning holiday park where our cabin had sweeping ocean views. We were so excited to explore this seaside town and the surrounding area.
Curious Campers had recommended that we visit the top ten attractions in Warrnambool, so we set out to tick them all off our list. First up was Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve, where we saw kangaroos and emus in their natural habitat. We also visited the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village, which gave us a chance to step back in time and learn about the region's maritime history.
One of the highlights of our Warrnambool adventure was the fun we had at the Lake Pertobe Adventure Playground. We felt like kids again as we climbed, slid, and swung our way through this amazing playground. We even had a friendly game of mini golf at the adjacent course.
While we were sad to leave Warrnambool, we were excited to continue our journey along the Great Ocean Road. We spent our nights at Discovery Parks, a holiday park chain that really goes the extra mile to make their guests feel at home. From cozy cabins to spacious campsites, there's something for everyone at Discovery Parks.
As we left Warrnambool behind, we couldn't resist stopping by some of the other attractions we'd heard so much about. We visited the Bay of Martyrs and the Bay of Islands, two stunning coastal areas that made us feel like we were at the edge of the world. We also stopped by the Hopkins Falls, a mesmerizing waterfall that had us in awe.
The Great Ocean Road itself was one of the highlights of our trip. As we drove along, we were mesmerized by the stunning ocean views, towering cliffs, and lush rainforests. We made sure to stop at all the iconic sights like the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and London Arch. Each one was more breathtaking than the last.
Our trip along the Great Ocean Road was truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. From the charming town of Warrnambool to the breathtaking coastal scenery, we made memories that we'll treasure forever. If you're ever in the mood for a scenic road trip and some serious adventure, I highly recommend taking a drive down the Great Ocean Road. You won't regret it!
Until next time, happy adventuring!
